Week 1: Introduction to Makeup Basics

Week 2: Day-to-Evening Transformation

  • Color Wash & Eye Design: Eye shapes, pencil liner, mascara, individual lashes.

  • Natural to Glam Transition: Lips (red), lashes (bar/liquid liner).

Week 3: Eyes – From Basic to Glamorous

  • Smokey Eyes: Black waterline, bar lashes, pale lips.

  • Glamour Eyes: Extended liquid liner, bar lashes.

Week 4: Cut Crease & Corporate

  • Cut Crease: 3/4 lashes, extended liner.

  • Corporate Makeup: Red lips, defined brows, subtle liner.

Week 5: Mature & Editorial Makeup

  • Mature Makeup: Natural to glam (models needed).

  • Editorial/Advertorial: Skin focus, differences between styles.

Week 6: Fashion & Camouflage

  • Fashion: Photographic highlights/shading.

  • Catwalk: Distance, lighting, bold designs.

Week 7: Accredited Practical Assessments

  • Accredited Assessments: You will complete your practical assessments during this final week. These assessments cover key areas such as makeup health and hygiene, colour correction, skin preparation, and more.

Week 8: Black and White & Bridal Beauty:

  • Black & White (Photographic): Makeup techniques that read well when filming in Black and white.

  • Bridal Beauty: Skin prep, natural tones, long-lasting makeup.

Week 9: Fantasy and Film

  • Fantasy: Themes (e.g., 20s/2000s), creative makeup.

  • Film: Natural/character work, lighting techniques.

Week 10:Avant-garde & Theater 

  • Avant-Garde: White bases, creative makeup.

  • Theatre: Basic/character work.

Week 11: Airbrushing Basics

  • Airbrush Basics: Gun cleaning, skin prep, shapes (circles/lines).

  • Airbrush Natural: Color matching, foundation, light contour.

Week 12: Airbrushing for Mature Skin and Tattoo Covering

  • Mature Skin: Mother of the bride prep.

  • Tattoo Cover: Color correction, long-lasting coverage.

Week 13: Bridal Airbrush

Airbrush Bridal: Techniques for bridal makeup.

Week1 14 : Accredited Assessment – Get government accredited certificate of attainment!

By successfully completing the accredited assessment on this final week and the course, you will gain credits towards below 4 units towards the SHB30221 – Certificate III in Makeup qualification .

Dual Certificate Package: Includes Introduction to Pro Makeup Artistry Certificate and Advanced Certificate in Pro Makeup Artistry wrapped into one 12 week course that will take you from beginner in Makeup to Professional Artist! This course will take you through everything from how to clean and disinfect your brushes, colour theory, and skin prep to how to apply flawless makeup on anyone regardless of age or skin tone! For an in depth look at what each week covers please visit Introduction to Pro Makeup Artistry for weeks 1-7 and   Advanced Certificate in Pro Makeup Artistry for weeks 8-14. These 14 sessions cover the key content from the first 7 units of the Certificate III in Makeup, including:
  1. Design and Apply Makeup
  2. Design and Apply Remedial Camouflage
  3. Apply Safe Hygiene 
  4. Design and apply make-up for photography
  5. Design and apply creative make-up
  6. Apply airbrushed make-up

Course Structure

  • Duration: 14 weeks, Saturday or Monday, 10am – 5pm.
  • Format: Weekly 7-hour in-person classes, supported by online modules
  • Time Commitment: Expect to invest 15-30 hours per week, including online studies, practical assessments, and classroom time.

Flexible Payment Options

We offer a Study Now, Pay Later option through Afterpay. Secure your spot with a non-refundable $500 deposit. Full payment is due two weeks before the course starts. If you need to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, you can opt for a refund or defer your enrollment to the next intake. Please note that full payment is required 2 weeks before commencement.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required to secure your place in the course. If unforeseen circumstances arise and you need to cancel after the course has started, a fee of $400 per week of attendance plus a kit fee will apply. You can defer your studies to the next available course without penalty.
