TMT has been inspiring makeup artists since 1985 and is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO #40774).

What are your Entry Requirements?
As per the training package, there are no entry pre-requisites for all our Diploma and Certificate level courses.
TMT does require that all applicants must have completed Year 10 (or equivalent) and be 16 years or older in order to apply to study with us. Students under 18 years of age may also be required to attend a preliminary interview to assess their eligibility for the course.
Students who have not completed their Year 12 High School Certificate will be required to complete TMT LLn Quiz Robot, which will be sent via email to the applicant upon receiving enrollment application.
International Student from a non English-speaking country (and haven’t completed at least five years’ study in an English-speaking country) will need to prove their English proficiency.
The Department of Home Affairs website lists eligible tests, with possibilities being the IELTS, TOEFL iBT, Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic, and Cambridge Advanced English (CAE). The student may also requested to complete an online Literacy and Numeracy test.
Who will my Tutor Be?
All TMT tutors are industry active and highly experienced professionals in their respective field. We strongly believe that having specialist tutors for the many different subjects we teach, gives TMT students a distinct overall advantage.
How do I enrol?
It’s easy to enrol into our course. Fill out the application on this website. Upon receiving your enrolment application, we will contact you promptly to discuss your application and your suitability. We also welcome you to book a virtual or physical tour with us and talk to us about your aspirations with our course advisors.
Is there work placement?
Absolutely! At TMT, you are required to complete 200 hours of Work Placement during your course. There will be a variety of work placement from photo-shoots, films, music videos, events, fashion shows, beauty salons, hair salons and makeup studio as well as on campus student salons, just to name a few. You will be given the opportunity to work within the industry. Establishing a network of contacts in the beauty and creative industry to assist with future opportunities.
What is the course completion/graduation rate?
Approximately 90% of all students studying at TMT successfully complete their course, graduate and receive a Qualification. With an average class attendance rate of 94%, it’s no wonder that our graduation rate is so high – everyone loves coming to class so much, that they don’t miss a day if they can help it!
Do I receive a qualification after completing the course?
The training method that we use at TMT is called “competency based training”. This means if you are competent in all your assessments, you will receive a full nationally recognised qualification at the end of your course. If, however you fail to submit your assessments and you are marked “not yet competent” then you will receive a statement of attainment at the end of your course.
I‘m an International student. How can I apply?
TMT is registered for CRICOS. Our CRICOS Provider Number is 03367M. All we require is a completed enrolment form plus a deposit to secure your position and issue you with an eCoE (Electronic Confirmation of Enrolment).
Is my deposit refundable?
Deposits for all of our courses are non-refundable.
When is the cutoff date to enrol for the course?
There is no actual cut-off date for domestic students to enrol for any of our courses, as all of our classes fill based on demand. We advise that anyone interested in studying with us enrol as soon as they can to avoid missing out on a place. International students would need to have their enrolment form and deposit in so that their eCoE can be issued. Visa processing times vary but you should allow up to 8-12 weeks. Where possible we recommend applying for your visa as soon as you have received your eCoE.
Recognition of prior learning [RPL] and credit transfer
TMT recognise that students learn from work or life experience as well as through their study. As such, we recognise prior educational achievements gained by students and on this basis we may grant a pass for subjects in our courses based on your previous learning experiences. RPL is assessed on a case by case basis, so it is only available on application. A fee does apply.
Can I visit the college?
We encourage anyone interested in studying at TMT to call and arrange a tour with our Enrolment team. School tour can be onsite as well as virtual.
We also hold Open Days throughout the year. These Open Days are designed to provide you with as much information about our courses as possible, as well as giving you an opportunity to meet our trainers, staff and current students.
