How Can I Study Makeup Online?
Through a Virtual Classroom!
At TMT, our online Diploma gives you proper industry training with real flexibility. You’ll join live-streamed classes where you can ask questions in real-time, plus access recordings to review techniques whenever you need. Missed a session? The recordings have you covered.
We set you up with an expanded kit (including mannequins and wig heads) so you can practice properly at home. While the course works completely online, we strongly encourage you to visit campus for hands-on sessions like our Prosthetics term and photo shoots, these make a huge difference in building professional skills.
If you prefer mixing online study with regular in-person classes, our blended on-campus option might suit you better. Either way, you graduate with the same respected qualification.

Yes, you read that right! All of our domestic students will receive a complimentary makeup kit scholarship thanks to our industry partner, Kryolan Professional Make-up.
Students will receive multiple kits with a total value of over $4,500 RRP. This includes Makeup, Hairstyling, Wig styling and SFX products and equipment to ensure you’ll be able to practice your skills at-home and on-set.

Yes! The Diploma is approved for Centerlink study payments #2P157
No prior experience is necessary. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to expand your skills, this course is designed to suit all levels.
For full time study, this course requires 30 – 35 hours nominal hours of study per week. This consists of attending live / recorded classroom sessions, supervised practicals, structured learning activities, including homework, assignments, assessment preparation and online study.
To achieve the CUA51020 Diploma of Screen and Media students must successfully complete all 16 units of the course.
Assessments include practical projects, quizzes, and assignments that demonstrate your Hairdressing skills and knowledge. Your trainer will provide feedback and support throughout the course.

We offer flexible assessment options to fit your lifestyle:
Complete practical assessments in a real salon workplace under the supervision of an accredited hairdresser
Alternatively, document your work at home using timelapse videos and before/after photos for assessment
With flexible study options and multiple pathways to complete your qualification, we make it possible to balance training with your life.
Yes, we require students to complete 200 hours of work placement to complete their studies.
50 hours can be completing makeup on friends and family, but the remaining 150 must be done through other opportunities where you put the skills you’ve learnt to work.
There is no actual cut-off date for domestic students to enrol for any of our courses, as all of our classes fill based on demand. We advise that anyone interested in studying with us enrol as soon as they can to avoid missing out on a place. International students would need to have their enrolment form and deposit in so that their eCoE can be issued. Visa processing times vary but you should allow up to 8-12 weeks. Where possible we recommend applying for your visa as soon as you have received your eCoE.

At TMT Education, we recognize your existing skills and knowledge. Through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Credit Transfers, you may reduce your study time by earning credit for:
