Our course content selection provides you with the knowledge, attitude and skills to work in the beauty industry as a professional beauty therapist. From day one you will develop a broad range of competencies, opening doors to the beauty industry – from Body treatments and specialised facials, Lash, brow and waxing services, Designing and applying make-up, Manicure and pedicure services. Even build your own beauty business. The beauty care industry is one of the fastest growing consumer markets in Australia and the number of beauty therapists is expected to grow very strongly with around 25,000 job openings over 5 years to 2025. There is also demand for beauty therapists to join other industries with cruise ships providing wonderful opportunities for travel, experience and growth.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

---

No formal education requirements to enrol in course.

To successfully complete this course, you will need:

• to attend face-to-face classes for 2 days per week for 42 weeks. You will have unstructured learning activities including homework, assignments, assessment preparation and private study. You will complete 15 units of study to gain the Diploma of Screen and Media.

WORK PLACEMENT

Work experience provides you with exposure to situations and circumstances that cannot be replicated in a learning or simulated environment. Work experience is not mandatory for this qualification; however, this is a highly practical course. We strongly recommend you undertake work experience with a suitable industry employer. You are responsible for arranging your own work experience. Our team can offer support and guidance to assist you.
